What is Windows Embedded?
Mainstream End Date. Extended End Date. Windows Embedded 8. Windows Embedded 8 Standard Community. I have received for test purpose the latest Lenovo Yoga Tablet 2 with Windows 8.1 pro already installed on it. The spec of the tablet is: Intel Atom Z3745 @ 1.33Ghz; 2 gb.
- Windows Embedded 8 Standard is a modular operating system that provides enterprise and device manufacturers the freedom to choose which capabilities will be part of their industry devices and intelligent system solutions.
- Now Windows is asking for activation, which keeps on failing. After coming to know from my bro that it was not a legitimate key, I decided that I should revert to the pre-installed Windows 8 standard licence and activate it. But since Windows 8 standard key is embedded in my system, I cannot find the legitimate WIn 8 standard key.
